Capt. Mike Freeman supervises a staff of eleven personnel consisting of nine investigators, two administrative professionals, and one evidence custodian.

The division's regular working hours are from 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM, with on-call detectives available during non-working hours.

Two detectives are assigned to the Child Abuse/Sex Crimes Unit, which investigate crimes against children and sexual assaults.

One detective is assigned to the Domestic Violence Unit, which investigate domestic violence.

Six detectives are assigned to the Major Crimes Unit, which investigate crimes such as homicides, robbery, burglary, assaults, automobile theft, forgery, embezzlement, fraud, and misdemeanor property crimes.

The detectives are required to attend training, which specializes them in the type of crimes they are assigned to investigate.
